A Little Back Story
Welcome to The Secret Hollow Mountain Base – Where Fun Meets Magic!
It all started on November 28, 2010, when a random Facebook post set the wheels in motion—long before my husband and I even started dating! What began as a chaotic chat in Messenger (thanks to a mutual friend) quickly escalated into total random madness. To save our conversations from complete chaos, my now-husband created a top-secret page, and naturally, I had to make it official with a kitschy sign. I mean, who doesn’t love a little flair, right?
Before we knew it, friendship was turning into something much more—cue the romantic soundtrack! 💕 Our very first date? A whirlwind adventure at Disney World that was so magical, we got engaged before we even left the park! 🏰✨ Shortly after, he flew to Chicago to help me move to Orlando, where we proudly hung our Secret Hollow Mountain Base sign in our apartment like it was a trophy.
Fast forward a year, and we pulled off an epic surprise wedding in a tiny chapel in Kissimmee, Florida. Because who doesn’t love a good old-fashioned surprise wedding? (Spoiler: our parents loved it!) For our first anniversary, I created a Smash Journal (think scrapbook meets shenanigans) that captured all our crazy adventures. But then, a twist in the tale! We discovered our apartment was a moldy disaster, and I started feeling like a walking science project. So, we packed up our mold-free treasures and headed to Wisconsin for a fresh start.
Now, we’ve got a place with a basement, and you know what that means—Secret Hollow Mountain Base 2.0! It’s become our ultimate fun zone, home to:
• My Art Studio
• The Sound Garden Studio for all things music
• The Purple Tiki Lounge for some much-needed chill vibes
• The Dance Floor (doubling as our physical therapy area)
• And our favorite addition: an old freezer that we hilariously turned into our very own ice cream truck! 🍦 Because who wouldn’t want ice cream on demand?

Step right into the Secret Hollow Mountain Base through our fabulous Art Gallery, where our friends have generously gifted us their masterpieces—because who doesn’t love a little art? As you reach the base of the stairs, keep your eyes peeled for The Tiki Lounge sign, and brace yourself for a warm welcome from our mermaid, who’s probably just as confused to see you as you are to see her!
Welcome to the lounge, where random kitschy artifacts, Tiki mugs, and souvenirs from Hawaii come together in a delightful chaos! It's like a tropical vacation for your eyes, complete with enough ambient lighting to make even the sun jealous!
We built the bar during the COVID lockdown because, let’s be honest, we needed a fun escape from our living room! Before it transformed into The Purple Tiki, it was The Purple Lounge, a tribute to my baby brother, who we lost in 2016—right after we moved.
In 2020, I became an Amazon Vine Influencer, I’ve got a treasure trove of quirky items to test out, so you never know what you might find at our little paradise!
The Purple Tiki Lounge has slowly but surely taken over The Purple Lounge—like a Tiki invasion! We kicked things off with a collection of Tikis and quirky vintage treasures from my grandparents' Rumpus Room, plus some random souvenirs my parents smuggled back from Hawaii. I've always had a soft spot for Mid-century Decor and a serious crush on Tiki Lounges, so this was a no-brainer! And let me tell you, the fireplace is like a warm hug during those chilly Wisconsin winters.
Oh, and don’t forget to don some of our fabulous cheap leis during your visit! They’re hanging everywhere, just waiting for you to grab one and channel your inner island spirit!
There's a tiny jungle lurking between the lounge and the dance floor, complete with cozy nooks perfect for a quick rest or a sneaky sip of your favorite drink. And guess what? Every beverage comes with a paper umbrella—because who doesn't want a mini tropical vacation in their cup?
During Aloholidays, we deck the halls with a Purple Tinsel Tree that sometimes decides to stick around until May—because who doesn’t love a little sparkle? As you make your way to the dance floor, keep an eye out for our Menu board featuring The Mysterious Purple Tiki, your go-to spot for today’s entertainment and drink specials.
We’ve also got menus packed with more drinks, dinner delights, and tasty nibbles than you can shake a maraca at!
The dance floor is equipped with a sound system that’ll make your ears tingle and lights that are more fun than a disco ball at a cat party. Plus, it’s all covered in fluffy shag carpet, and there’s a giant bean bag chair waiting for you to take a load off—perfect for when you need to recline and contemplate your next dance move!
Tucked between the dance floor and the garden room, you'll find a teepee play area hanging out with the fairy garden, all cozy under the rainbow eucalyptus tree. It's the perfect spot to catch your breath and plot your next dance floor takeover!
The Disco Ball collection works some serious magic with lights! It's like a party for your eyes, and you might just find yourself entranced, wondering if those colors are trying to communicate with you.
We hit the pause button on The Lounge when we're busy crafting our weekly radio masterpiece.
But when the mics are off, the Sound Garden Studio swings wide open with extra seating—because who doesn’t love a good of musical chairs? Just remember to keep your drinks on the patio table, under the umbrella, unless you want to give the floor a refreshing splash!

And yes, the Tin Man hails from Kansas. Who knew that the land of tornadoes and cornfields could produce such iconic characters? Kansas, It's not that bad.
The umbrella provides some delightful shaded seating at the bistro table. Just a heads up—unless you happen to be a unicorn, parking here is a no-go! And watch your step; the enchanted sound garden studio is home to a few mischievous fairies and gnomes who might just steal your snacks!
