The Quiet Part | A Full Circle Transmission | Alternate Wednesday
March 4, 2026
with DJ Tea, Mr. Announcer Man & Mickey Fingers
1–3pm CST on WDRT 91.9FM | Listen Live » Post By Celeste (DJ Tea) & Mickey Fingers
Eclectic Wonderland’s Alternate Wednesday explores creative cover versions, indie reinterpretations, and unexpected remixes of beloved songs alongside new independent music.
Two years ago, I was cracking open on air, chasing a version of my dream that didn’t yet include caring for myself. Today’s show circles back to that moment.
Since then: new music, new collaborations, and shadows turned into art. A new Gala Violet single and video. Johnny Society back in the mix. And a reminder that sometimes the quiet parts of us carry the most power.
This broadcast lives in the space between the roar and the rebuild - where art survives, boundaries hold, and the monster becomes myth.
Eclectic Wonderland.
Full circle.
Still standing.

The Quiet Part: Choosing What To Feed

Celeste (DJ Tea)
The Collapse
Life sometimes feels like a chaotic dance, where the music never stops but your body can’t keep up. I found myself in the midst of such a whirlwind, juggling health scares, creative pressures, and the unexpected loss of school funding. It was a time of profound creative trauma, one that cracked me open on air.
I was excelling in art school—straight A’s, National Honor Society, Dean’s List, and my art was being used as examples by my teachers. The day before my big portfolio review, I was in the ER with a severe shoulder injury. Despite the pain, I decided to Make a Playlist from my hospital bed and record a show anyway, fueled by a playlist inspired the Johnny Society’s latest CD. Little did I know, a storm was brewing inside me with a perforated bowel, an abscess, and a diverticulitis flare-up.
I was on fire, literally and figuratively, but I had something to prove. Creative trauma from high school haunted me; I was told my dreams were impractical. I kept a lyric journal as a private outlet for my shadows while presenting a sunny facade with my art.
Back then, Mickey Fingers was one of the few who believed in me. He took one of my lyrics and turned it into a song, and it became a lifeline in that season of my life. And here he was doing it again — I just didn’t know we’d end up releasing anything.
I was in pain but conditioned to “suck it up and go on.” That mentality nearly cost me my health and my future.
Despite returning to school and maintaining my 4.0, I lost funding due to health issues. I was at a crossroads, forced to confront the reality that my body and circumstances were calling for change.
The Choice
Amidst the chaos, I made a pivotal decision: no more feeding collapse narratives. I set boundaries, choosing to focus on grounded actions and healing. I began integrating my shadows, embracing all parts of myself, and honoring my journey.
The Rearranging
a few lines from "Elephant" resonated deeply with me:
“I don’t feed the elephant in the room I feed the dream that’s aching to bloom.”
This mantra guided me to focus on possibilities rather than limitations. I lost some friendships, but I deepened a creative partnership with my longtime friend, Mickey Fingers, and others from a collaboration named after my high school lyric journal. Mickey and I embarked on a journey of deep shadow work, culminating in "Masquerade Of Shadows."
Our friendship strengthened as we faced similar challenges. Mickey’s encouragement rekindled my passion for writing. He reminded me that we had everything we needed and could learn and grow together. We took grounded action, making a plan:
“When you actually decide and take that first tiny step, reality begins to rearrange around that choice. The doors. The classes. The tech. The songs. The people.”
The Full Circle
Now, we’re focusing on our health, managing our energy, and creating music that’s gaining recognition from respected industry figures. This journey has brought us full circle, with new projects like Gala Violet release, a Book, a New Radio Show and more.
The past held moments of pain — my work destroyed by an abusive ex, toxic band situations, and traumatic experiences. But in 2020, during COVID lockdown, Mickey invited me to join his Artist Way Group, a support network for Spoonie-artists. It was a turning point where we reclaimed our creative voices and stopped sacrificing ourselves for others’ ambitions.
Art school felt like the dream back then, but this journey revealed a new path, one rooted in collaboration, healing, and authenticity.
As I look back, I'm reminded of how far we've come on this journey. The latest Johnny Society record, Hope Machine, arrived just before this March show, taking me back to that night in the hospital bed two years ago, when I put together a little Power Pop show in the middle of the storm.
Now, here we are—stronger, more resilient, and deeply connected through our creative endeavors. It's a testament to the power of choice, healing, and the courage to follow our dreams.
Full circle.
Not louder.
Stronger.
Mickey’s Corner

Sometimes, artists need protection from their own ambition. "Elephant in the Room" isn't about volume - it's about permission. It's about choosing where to place our energy and allowing ourselves to focus on dreams rather than the noise.
After Hours Update
Our official landing page is now live.
A darkwave playlist is in development, setting the mood with depth and introspection.
"Forkin’ Around" energy is evolving into ritual, trust, and reverb, creating a cathedral mood that's both conscious and safe.
Artist’s Way / Creative Recovery
The Artist’s Way Group was never about becoming someone new; it's about recovering the voice that was buried. It's about setting boundaries, embracing the insights (That Would Become) "Elephant in the Room," and no longer chasing dreams at the cost of health.
Art is a journey, not a destination. In our quest for creativity, we often overlook the importance of balance and self-care. It's essential to remember that our worth isn't tied to constant output but to the authenticity we bring to our work. Let's honor our pace and trust the process.
Creativity thrives in the spaces where we allow ourselves to breathe and reflect. It's in those quiet moments that true inspiration emerges. Let's continue to nurture our art with patience and love, prioritizing our well-being along the way [GalaViolet.com]
Conclusion
Full circle. Still standing. Transmission continues.
Gala Violet - Elephant in the Room
Elephant in the Room
I see it.
You see it.
We all see it.
It doesn’t need another sermon.
It needs silence.
It needs starvation.
Everybody loves the elephant in the room
Point at it, post it, argue ‘til noon
Debate it, bait it, inflate the gloom
Each time you do, you’re feeding the room
I’m not blind, I’m not numb, I’m not gone
I just know what we focus our lives on
And I’m not trying to win at the same old game
When I could be growing something that remembers my name
So I ask myself, slow and true
Where do I want my energy to move through?
Where do I place my spoons each day
To build a mirror… or light the way?
I don’t feed the elephant in the room
I feed the dream that’s aching to bloom
I give my spoons to love, not doom
I’m here for joy, not a tomb
You can feed the elephant if you choose
But every drop you give it is a future you lose
I’m here to build a world where Gaia can breathe
Where hearts hold firm and spirits believe
No, I’m not naïve, I know the score
But I won’t fight your war just to settle the floor
I won’t tithe my life force to a lie in disguise
When I could be painting stars across kids’ skies
I dream in colors, not headlines
In soil and soul, not fault lines
In circles that nourish, not loops of blame
I’m here to stitch a new domain
So I ask myself, what seeds do I plant?
What grows in me when I say “I can’t”?
What blooms in me when I ask, “What if?”
What world is born when I don’t feed the myth?
I don’t feed the elephant in the room
I feed the dream that’s rising to bloom
I give my spoons to love, not doom
I’m done being fuel for a tomb
You can feed the elephant if you choose
But every drop you give it is a vision you lose
I’m here to build a world where Gaia can breathe
Where boundaries matter and we believe
Yes, there’s free will.
Yes, there’s still shadow.
But I won’t be a battery
for someone else’s hollow.
I choose to create.
To protect.
To radiate.
I choose joy that doesn’t drain me.
Love that doesn’t chain me.
And a future I would want to raise a child in.
Do we really want to be feeding
all our energy
to an elephant
that doesn’t need to be fed
