The Auditory Odditorium
March 26, 25
The show's mysteriously titled name was altered by spell check, and it went unnoticed until the last minute. That's fine, as I couldn't pronounce the original name anyway.
Welcome to The Auditory Odditorium!
Hello, hello, and welcome to The Auditory Odditorium! If you’ve just stumbled through the looking glass—congratulations! You’ve landed in Eclectic Wonderland’s audaciously absurd Audities show.
If you’re new here, Audities is where we embrace the strange, the experimental, and the downright delightful. Think sound collages, novelties, and audio oddities—all the stuff that makes your ears do a double take.
So buckle up and prepare for a journey into the whimsical, the weird, and the wonderfully unhinged. Let’s get odd!
Set your reminders!

Show Notes & The full playlist: {Links Are Pink!}
Intro
We Opened Today With: (A warm welcome, but we made it weird.)
▶ Negativland – “Announcement” → Because nothing sets the mood for oddities quite like Negativland reminding us that nothing is quite as it seems.
▶ Monty Python – “Stephen Hawking Sings Galaxy Song” → Yes, you heard that right. Stephen Hawking. Singing. Monty Python. Space has never felt so delightfully absurd.
▶ Sopwith Camel – “Hello Hello” → A cheerful little psychedelic gem from the ’60s—because what’s an odd show without a proper greeting?
▶ Jean-Jacques Perrey & Dana Countryman – “Kittens on the Moon” → Synths, space, and adorable imaginary kittens? Yes, please.
Second Break
Reality Check? Nope, Let’s Get Weirder!
▶ Bruce Haack – “Electric To Me Turn” → Bruce Haack, the man, the myth, the musical mad scientist. This track reminds us that electricity is, in fact, a vibe.
▶ The Evolution Control Committee – “Hillbilly Beatboxing” → What do you get when you mash up hillbilly twang and beatboxing? Exactly this.
I want a cookie
▶ The Avalanches – “Frontier Psychiatrist” → Speaking of Dexter, I heard they are working on Season 2 of Original Sin and they started filming Resurrection! Double yay! Yay!
▶ The Bran Flakes – “Brain Flakes (Edit No.7)” → Crunchy, wacky, and 100% part of this complete breakfast.
▶ Negativland – “Don’t Don’t Get Freaked Out” → A friendly reminder: Don’t. Don’t. Get freaked out. (But let’s be honest—you probably already are.)
Negativland – “Either Or” → Because in this soundscape, things are never one or the other.
▶ Tally Hall – “&” → This song is a mystery wrapped in an ampersand.
▶ Dana Countryman & Jean-Jacques Perrey – “Chicken on the Rocks” → Imagine a chicken trying to moonwalk on a frozen pond. That’s this song.
Third Break
Break Time? Nope, More Absurdity!
• The Bran Flakes – “Good Times A Goo Goo” → If a song could be made of confetti and pure serotonin, this would be it.
▶ Moxy Früvous – “SpiderMan” → A barbershop-style retelling of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man—because why not?
▶ Barnes & Barnes – “Fish Heads” → The ultimate novelty classic. If you’ve never sung along to fish heads, fish heads, roly-poly fish heads… now’s your time.
• The Chips – “Rubber Biscuit” → If you can understand the lyrics, congratulations! If not, just enjoy the ride.
▶ Beachfront Vinny & Pineapple J – “Deep Space Nine (Hawaiian Vocals)” → Hawaiian-inspired Star Trek music? Beam me up. (Check the show notes for more info!)
Learn More at Uncle Vinny's Corner {Click Here!}
▶ Dr. Octagon – “Blue Flowers” → Hip-hop takes a surreal turn. Dr. Octagon’s prescriptions are weird, but highly effective.
▶ Matmos – “Lipostudio…And So On” → A track crafted from sounds of liposuction procedures. Yes, you heard that correctly.
▶ Geek Music – “The Mysterious Ticking Noise” (From Potter Puppet Pals) → If you know, you know. If you don’t—Snape. Snape. Severus Snape.
• The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band – “The Intro and The Outro” → A roll call of musical absurdity.
• Jean-Jacques Perrey – “E.V.A” → This song sounds like robots dancing through space.
Fourth Break
Reality is Optional at This Point.
▶ I Monster – “Who Is She?” → A question we may never answer.
▶ People Like Us – “Abridged Too Far” → A musical cut-and-paste fever dream.
▶ Beck – “Funky Lil’ Song” → Beck, in his element, doing what Beck does best. (Originally a Bruce Haack song!)
▶ Tally Hall – “Hidden in the Sand” → Sweet, simple, slightly eerie—like a lullaby with a secret.
▶ The Free Design – “Love You” → Pure sunshine in musical form.
▶ Raymond Scott – “Dinner Music for a Pack of Hungry Cannibals” → Chaotic, delightful, and entirely too fitting.
Fifth Break
Last Call for Sonic Shenanigans!
• Debris – “Leisurely Waiting” → A mood.
• Plundersonics – “Mutants Here I Am” → Somewhere between brilliance and madness.
▶ Chris & Cosey – “Talk to Me” → Hypnotic synth magic.
▶ Renaldo & The Loaf – “Kimbolton Gnome Song” → Just in case you were wondering what gnomes sing about.
▶ Snakefinger – “Yeti: What Are You?” → Side note: Willow wanted my Bigfoot story—if I don’t get to it on air, check the show notes!
In Search Of Bigfoot or What Shat That?
You can find more stories and fun at the Sideshow! {Click Here!}
• Renaldo & The Loaf – “Gurdy Hurding” → More Renaldo & The Loaf, because one dose of weird is never enough.
▶ Throbbing Gristle – “Hot on the Heels of Love” → Dark, pulsing, and eerily danceable.
▶ Tipsy – “Sweet Cinnamon Punch” → A sonic cocktail of quirky grooves.
▶ Lemon Demon – “Ultimate Showdown” → A chaotic, meme-worthy brawl to end all brawls.
And that, wraps up our journey through The Auditory Odditorium! We laughed, we questioned reality, and we may or may not have summoned a cryptid.
Until next time—keep your ears curious, your biscuits rubbery, and your reality questionable.
