✨ Eclectic Wonderland: ROCKTOBERRR | DJ Tea | Celeste Violet & Mickey Fingers

Rocktoberrr has arrived.

We were prepared for that part.

There were supposed to be pumpkins. Orange lights. Strange records.

Questionable candy decisions. Possibly a plastic bat somebody forgot to take down until February.

What we were not prepared for was arriving at the studio and discovering that somebody had apparently started without us.

The lights were already hung.

The pumpkins had moved in.

And somewhere between the first record and the last, we began to suspect that this wasn't simply Halloween decorating.

So welcome to Week One of Rocktoberrr.

Eclectic Wonderland: The House Has Started Decorating Itself.

And later, when everybody else has gone home:

After Hours: The Party After Everyone Left.

Pour something warm. Turn the radio up.

And maybe remember which door you came through.

Just in case. 🎃🚪

At first, it was easy to explain.

Somebody decorated.

Nobody remembered doing it, but there are three people involved in Eclectic Wonderland. We have collectively misplaced coffee, headphones, playlists, entire afternoons and, on at least one occasion, our dignity.

A pumpkin didn't exactly constitute evidence.

Then Mickey moved it.

This was approximately when we stopped blaming each other.

The decorations kept appearing.

The playlist developed editorial opinions.

Songs moved.

Notes appeared.

And the handwriting presented an entirely new problem.

Because sometimes the creepiest handwriting to find on something isn't a stranger's.

It's yours.

The problem with a house changing around you is that you don't necessarily notice when it starts.

A chair is somewhere else.

A song sounds slightly different.

Music seems to be coming from a room you don't remember.

You tell yourself you've simply forgotten.

Until the floor plan disagrees.

Then the clock stopped.

Sort of.

Every time I look at it...

it says 1:43.

Mickey did not touch the string.

This may represent unprecedented personal growth.

We would like the record to reflect that.

Unfortunately, nobody told the house that the investigation was over.

The studio was empty when we left.

We checked.

The lights were off.

The door was locked.

And sometime later that night, one of the clocks began moving again.

We don't know what time.

But the string was still there.

Rocktoberrr has begun.

The House Has Started Decorating Itself | Eclectic Wonderland

After the party, the house doesn’t go quiet. The lights are lower, the rooms feel different, and somewhere after midnight, things that seemed perfectly innocent earlier begin to look less so.

This week, After Hours picks up the thread where Eclectic Wonderland leaves it. You don’t have to know the whole story, you just follow what you find. Somewhere in the house, something is waiting. Rocktober continues After Hours.

After Hours | The Party After Everyone Left🕯️🖤 Friday overnight, 1–3 AM CT on WDRT 91.9 FM.

The party may be over, but somebody left the door open. Come a little closer, turn the lights down. Mickey Fingers and Celeste Violet are waiting on the other side of midnight with strange music, stranger stories, and a few things we probably shouldn’t have brought home. After Hours begins when everything else goes quiet.

Earlier that evening, the lights were brighter, the music was louder, nobody was wondering what might be hiding upstairs, nobody was following threads, nobody was watching the clock, we were dancing.

Fuck-It, We’re Dancing 🪩🔥 |Petals & Hooks

A Mixcloud-only Petals & Hooks transmission.

We worked too hard, stayed up too late, lost all perspective, and somebody hit play. What followed was a glittery release valve of dance floor staples, pop, new wave, post-punk weirdness, cookies, questionable decisions, and whatever happens after everybody gets happ slappy.

Unfiltered, impossibly explicit in places, but probably nothing you haven’t heard before.

The music stops. The story doesn’t. If you’ve noticed something strange along the way, you’re not imagining it. Follow the thread.
