No Idea… We Do Not Even Know
No plan. No rules. Just press play.
This week’s Eclectic Wonderland didn’t begin with a theme.
It began with exhaustion.
After a stretch of taxes, tech-induced tantrums, studio shifts, and general human overwhelm, the plan didn’t just fall apart—it disappeared entirely. The only thing left behind? A single note about a mysterious cover of “Love Buzz” that may or may not exist.
So instead of forcing it… we let go.
What followed is a show built in real time - guided by instinct, curiosity, and a willingness to trust the moment. Along the way, Collin, from Gala Violet dropped into the studio, lending bass, voice, and a few spontaneous textures that found their way into the mix.
The result is something loose, strange, and unexpectedly cohesive.
Not perfect.
Not polished.
But real.
And sometimes… that’s where the best things live.
Thank you, Mickey & Collin,
I’m super grateful for all you both did - and all you always do.
Thank you for being there for me, listening, holding space, and doing all of this. Plus the love, support, and encouragement. It is everything. Yes, I cried.

This Week, Mickey's In Charge. 3 Shows. No Idea
This week, Mickey’s in charge. 3 Shows. No Idea
This week, Mickey’s in charge. There was no plan, no idea, and definitely no adults in the room. I hijacked the Velvet Umbrella Radio airwaves for three shows in a row (Eclectic Wonderland, After Hours, and Petals & Hooks) and stitched them into one long “No Idea” spell. We pressed play instead of having our lives together, and somehow it turned into deep crates, dark-spark bangers, and a few questionable decisions from your favorite mysterious collaborator.
Hit play to wander the corridors with me, DJ Celeste Violet, Mr Announcer Man, and our friend Collin on bass, With some Voice Over help and a spoon. Three shows. Mickey takes charge.
Part 1 of 3 (And We have nothing else to say about it)
This Show, No Idea… We Do Not Even Know
Next Show. After Hours: Fridays overnight at 2am on WDRT.
No plan. No structure. No roadmap.
Petals & Hooks: If All Goes Well, Friday overnight at midnight on Mixcloud only
If not, then.. soon.
Mickey's Corner
I had a plan.
I know I did.
I just don’t know where it went.
Somewhere between moving equipment, arguing with technology, and trying to remember what day it was… it disappeared.
Collin showed up at one point…
we moved some things…
plugged in a bass…
…and somehow that turned into something.
Not a plan.
Not a structure.
Just… something that worked.
We might be onto something new.
Or we might’ve just documented a breakdown.
Either way… we kept it.
(You can hear parts of it in the video and the voiceovers. The full track is somewhere… maybe you’ll hear it soon. New Gala Violet…? I don’t even know yet.)
