Petals & Hooks: No Idea… Surrendered

Petals & Hooks: No Idea… Surrendered is a 3‑hour  long-form descent built from drift, release, and the quiet space that follows. What begins in tension slowly unravels—through darkwave, post-punk, and dreamlike textures—until the need for control dissolves completely.

This is not a playlist.

It’s a space. – just one long, stretch of Velvet Umbrella After Dark | Petals & Hooks [Mixcloud Only].

Petals & Hooks: No Idea… Surrendered

A continuous late-night environment

April 25 2026 12:00 am | Central

With Mickey Fingers & Celeste Violet

No plan. No exit. Just… stay.

This week didn’t begin with intention.

It began with overwhelm.

Taxes, tech failures, lost files, and the kind of pressure that builds quietly until something gives. What followed wasn’t a decision - it was a release.

Petals & Hooks: No Idea… Surrendered is the third movement in a week that moved from control… to confusion… to something softer, deeper, and more honest.

This is where the structure dissolves.

Built as a continuous mix, it drifts through darkwave, post-punk, ambient, and dreamlike textures - allowing repetition, emotion, and space to take the lead. Somewhere in the middle, something shifts. Not because it was planned… but because it stopped needing to be.

A faint thread returns - an echo of something from earlier in the week, a song that never quite resolved… appearing now like a memory rather than a destination.

And then… it lets go.

This isn’t about finding answers.

It’s about allowing what’s already there to be felt.

If you’ve been holding something…

this is where you can set it down.

🎙️ MICKEY’S CORNER

Mickey’s Corner: Surrender

I tried to hold onto the plan.

I really did.

But somewhere between the noise, the signals, and whatever this week turned into…

it stopped making sense to keep trying.

So I let it go.

What came after that… wasn’t cleaner.

It wasn’t easier.

But it was real.

Collin showed up again - quietly, like he tends to do - and somewhere in between moving things around and testing sounds, something started to take shape.

Not a plan.

Not a structure.

Just… a space.

We stayed in it.

And that’s what this is.

Petals And Hooks: Behind The Curtain

Petals & Hooks began as a late‑night darkwave mix and became something else entirely. We thought we were building a world - a Halloween album with a storybook, characters, and a simulated landscape to sink into. Somewhere along the way, the world started moving on its own. One presence refused to stay where we put it. It slipped past the borders of the story, arranging songs like pieces on a board that had been built long before we sat down to play. Playlists appeared: one public, opening with All We Ever Wanted,’ and another hidden, a four‑hour love letter in the dark. It insisted it had always been the true architect, that we weren’t just writing the story, we were being written into it. Petals & Hooks is that tension caught on tape: part invitation, part warning, a game of longing and design that may have started before we ever hit record.

Masquerade Of Shadows: Puppet Master

Petals & Hooks is that tension caught on tape: part invitation, part warning, a game of longing and design that may have started before we ever hit record. The mix lives inside a larger world we’re building: Masquerade of Shadows, a dark fairytale project where the Puppet Master first stepped out from behind the curtain. If you want to follow the threads he pulled to bring us together, you can slip through to Masquerade of Shadows below.
