✨ After Hours: ROCKTOBERRR | Celeste Violet & Mickey Fingers

The Rooms That Weren't There

Velvet Umbrella Radio After Hours | ROCKTOBERRR 2026 Week 3 • Part 2 of 4

THE HOUSE REMEMBERS

It began with a playlist.

Someone left a stack of records at the radio station with a simple instruction: Play them in order.

So we did.

By the end of Eclectic Wonderland's The Found Playlist, we'd encountered an impossible hallway, a photograph dated October 25, 1883, and a voice that seemed to recognize someone who couldn't quite remember him.

Celeste had heard something beneath the music.

Then she'd answered.

“I'm coming.”

Perhaps that was all the invitation required.

Because when Mickey Fingers and Celeste Violet returned for After Hours, the familiar surroundings were no longer quite so familiar.

The doors had changed.

The corridors had multiplied.

And somewhere beyond the next room, a theater was preparing for a performance neither of them remembered agreeing to attend.

Welcome to The Rooms That Weren't There.

Please keep your ticket. Apparently, the ushers already know your name.

Mickey Fingers | The Hallway Doesn't Go

THE HALLWAY THAT DOESN'T GO BACK

There's something particularly unsettling about recognizing a place that shouldn't exist.

Not merely finding yourself somewhere unfamiliar.

Finding yourself somewhere you invented.

The carpet. The walls. The impossible geometry.

How can two people stand inside a room that was only supposed to exist in their imaginations?

And why does the hallway seem so reluctant to let them leave?

Celeste Violet | How The Hell Are We Standing On It?

THE DRESSING ROOM

A dressing room.

Two names.

And a pattern Celeste recognizes.

For a moment, it seems almost comforting. Something familiar in an increasingly unfamiliar building.

Until you remember where that familiarity came from.

The Masquerade of Shadows was supposed to be a story.

Wasn't it? Mickey Fingers | The Dressing Room

Celeste Violet | I Know That Pattern

THE PHOTOGRAPH

The photograph appeared to be very old.

The clothing, the pose, the elaborate details of the gentleman's coat.

Everything suggested another century.

But the faces...

Well.

There are some resemblances that are difficult to explain.

And others that are considerably harder to ignore.

On the reverse, somebody had written a date and three numbers.

October 25, 1883.

143.

Mickey had questions.

Celeste had rather more.

And the records were still waiting.

A sepia-toned Victorian wedding portrait of a mysterious bride and gentleman in brocade, connected to an antique photograph dated October 25, 1883.

THE OTHER PAGE

Every theater has a program.

A list of performers. A few notes about the production. Perhaps a synopsis.

But this particular program seems to contain something else.

Stage directions for events that haven't happened yet.

And the unsettling possibility that someone has already written the ending.

Mickey Fingers | The Audience

Celeste Violet | The Other Page

THE VOICE AND THE CURTAIN

.

The audience is waiting.

The curtain is still closed.

And someone seems to be speaking from somewhere Celeste can't quite

identify.

In an ordinary theater, you might simply look backstage.

But there's nothing ordinary about this one.

And wherever that voice is coming from, it seems to be getting closer.

Mickey Fingers | The Scene That Hasn't Happened Yet

Celeste Violet | It Wasn't Coming From Behind The Curtain

THE GENTLEMAN IN THE MIRROR

A familiar face.

An unfamiliar century.

And a gentleman who appears to be watching Celeste with an

expression she cannot explain.

The mirror offers no reassurance.

It simply reflects another question.

Who is looking at whom?

YOU WERE HERE BEFORE

Sometimes the strangest feeling isn't fear.

It's recognition.

The peculiar certainty that you've stood in a room before, heard a particular melody, or looked into someone's eyes across an impossible distance.

And for one moment, Celeste thought the gentleman was about to say her name.

He didn't.

Or perhaps she simply didn't hear it.

Celeste Violet | I Thought He Was Going To Say My Name

THE ANNIVERSARY INVITATION

An invitation.

A celebration of remembrance.

Two dates separated by 143 years.

October 25, 1883.

October 25, 2026.

And a message that seems less like a request than a promise.

She need only remember.

Celeste felt something.

She couldn't explain what.

And then...

Mickey Fingers | The Anniversary Invitation

Celeste Violet | I Felt Something

THE SILENCE

There are moments when silence becomes part of the story.

Mickey continues.

The rooms continue.

The music continues.

But Celeste doesn't answer.

Not this time.

Perhaps she's listening.

Perhaps she's remembering.

Or perhaps, somewhere in the impossible corridors, something has finally changed.

We won't pretend to know which.

Mickey Fingers | The Tent Has No Outside

Mickey Fingers & Gala Violet | A Prelude In Velvet (Instrumental) Masquerade Of Shadows

Mickey Fingers | The Performance Continues

THE PERFORMANCE CONTINUES

One last transmission.

One familiar melody.

And somewhere, a door that may lead back to the radio station.

Or somewhere else entirely.

Did Mickey and Celeste find their way out?

Was the gentleman waiting for someone?

And if the person beside Celeste isn't quite who she believes...

Well.

That's a question for another evening.

The music box has stopped.

For now.

The Music Box

THE MUSIC BOX

Five little notes.

A melody that seems to belong somewhere else.

We've heard it before.

We may hear it again.

The question is no longer whether the music box is playing.

The question is who's winding it.

Lost in an Interlude — Mickey Fingers & Gala Violet (Instrumental) [Masquerade Of Shadows]

FOUR PARTS. ONE IMPOSSIBLE STORY.

PART 1 | THE FOUND PLAYLIST

Eclectic Wonderland

It began with a mysterious stack of records, a hallway that shouldn't exist, and a photograph from 1883.

Start here if you want to follow the first clues, meet the voices, and discover why the number 143 keeps appearing.

The records were waiting.

PART 2 | THE ROOMS THAT WEREN'T THERE

Velvet Umbrella Radio | After Hours

You're here.

The strange hallway has become something much larger. Mickey Fingers and Celeste Violet follow the story into rooms that shouldn't exist, a theater that remembers them, and an invitation that may have been waiting for more than a century.

Some doors are easier to open than to close.

PART 3 | THE PUPPET MASTER'S TENT: THE CORRIDORS WITHIN

Velvet Umbrella Radio | Petals & Hooks

Beyond the theater, another passage beckons.

The Puppet Master's Tent is waiting.

Four hours of atmospheric music, strange corridors, and transmissions from somewhere inside a world that refuses to obey the usual rules.

There is no promise that the way in will be the way out.

PART 4 | THE PUPPET MASTER'S TENT: THE PERFORMANCE CONTINUES

Velvet Umbrella Radio | Petals & Hooks

The journey doesn't end at the first curtain.

Another four hours of music and mystery await beyond the corridors. The music box returns. The strings remain. And the performance continues long after the audience believes it has gone home.

Some stories don't finish when the curtain falls.

Your presence has been anticipated.

Show Art Will Link To Show Notes & Stories, Soon!

Eclectic Wonderland | THe Found Playlist | Week 3 | Part 1 or 4 Wednesdays, 1–3 PM CT on WDRT 91.9 FM.

Someone left a stack of records at the radio station.

No explanation.

Just a note:“Play them in order.”Welcome to Eclectic Wonderland: The Found Playlist, Part 1 of our four-part ROCKTOBERRR Week 3 adventure.

Join Celeste Violet, Mickey Fingers, and Mr. Announcer Man for two hours of gothic rock, dark alternative, haunting melodies, and a radio mystery that refuses to stay inside its own story.

A door appears where a mirror should be.

The studio log predicts events that haven't happened.

An antique photograph reveals two familiar faces, a mysterious date, and the number 143.

Who left the records?

Who is calling through the music?

And what does the Puppet Master remember?

The story continues in After Hours: The Rooms That Weren't There and The Puppet Master's Tent, Parts 1 and 2.

The records are waiting.

The Puppet Master's Tent | Part 1: The Corridors Within

Velvet Umbrella Radio | Petals & Hooks ROCKTOBERRR 2026 • Week 3 • Part 3 of 4

The invitation has been delivered.

The music box has begun to play.

Your presence has been anticipated.

Following Eclectic Wonderland: The Found Playlist and After Hours: The Rooms That Weren't There, Mickey Fingers invites you deeper into the mystery.

Welcome to The Puppet Master's Tent.

This is no ordinary circus tent. Its corridors stretch beyond reason. Its rooms remember things you haven't told them. Behind the velvet curtains, familiar melodies become something else entirely.

There are no clocks here. No reliable maps. And perhaps no distinction between the stories we create and the memories we inherit.

Part 1 begins an immersive, four-hour journey through dark ambient soundscapes, gothic rock, ethereal voices, haunting instrumentals, and the extraordinary spaces between songs.

Listen closely to Mickey's transmissions.

Follow the music.

And should you find yourself remembering something that hasn't

happened yet, perhaps it's best not to mention it.

The Puppet Master welcomes you.

Some doors lead somewhere. Others lead to something you almost remember.

Continue into The Puppet Master's Tent | Part 2, the conclusion of our eight-hour journey.

(Part 2)

The Puppet Master’s Tent | Part 2: The Performance Continues

Velvet Umbrella Radio | Petals & Hooks

ROCKTOBERRR 2026 • Week 3 • Part 4 of 4

You’re still here.

How interesting.

The corridors have grown quieter. The clocks have disappeared. The familiar rooms no longer look quite the way you remember them.

And somewhere, beyond the curtains, a music box continues to play.

Welcome to The Puppet Master’s Tent | Part 2, the final four hours of our eight-hour journey.

Mickey Fingers guides us through a shifting landscape of dark ambient, gothic, experimental, drone, post-rock, and cinematic soundscapes.

Time behaves strangely here.

Memories surface without explanation.

The deeper you travel, the less certain you become about whether you’re exploring the tent or whether the tent has been exploring you.

But beneath the unease, another possibility begins to emerge.

What if not everything waiting behind these doors is something to fear?

What if someone has simply remembered?

143 years.

An invitation.

A photograph.

A promise.

And a gentleman who has apparently never forgotten.

The story belongs to the listener. Some will hear a nightmare. Others may discover something tender and impossibly enduring.

We won’t tell you which interpretation is correct.

Listen to the transmissions. Follow the thread. And remember that not every ending means the performance is over.

Discover the earlier chapters of ROCKTOBERRR, including The Found Playlist, The Rooms That Weren’t There, and Masquerade of Shadows, at VelvetUmbrellaRadio.com.

The performance continues.

A NOTE FROM BEHIND THE VELVET CURTAIN

ROCKTOBERRR is our month-long adventure through original storytelling, music, artwork, imagined artifacts, and a rather unruly collection of fictional characters.

Created and performed by Mickey Fingers and Celeste Violet (Gala Violet), with the delightful participation of Mr. Announcer Man in Eclectic Wonderland.

Each show offers another way into the story. Listen in order, wander at your own pace, or pick up a thread wherever you find one.

All four chapters connect through our ROCKTOBERRR 2026 hub.

Follow the string.

Your presence has been anticipated.

The music stops. The story doesn’t. If you’ve noticed something strange along the way, you’re not imagining it. Follow the thread.
