Continue? (Yes/ Always, Yes)
Some shows make you think. Some shows make you dance.
And some…
just make you laugh at things that probably shouldn’t be funny…but somehow are.
This week’s Eclectic Wonderland is one of those shows.
This is Continue? (Yes / Always, Yes) — Part 2 of our April Audities series.
Earlier this month, we celebrated COMIX — a playful nod to Dr. Demento, April Fools, and the beautifully bizarre corners of novelty music.
But this one?
This one’s personal.
Today’s show is for Mikey.
My baby brother…who we lost in 2016…and who would have turned 44 this week.
And instead of sitting in the heaviness…
I wanted to do something we actually shared.
Laughter.
Weirdness.
Songs that make absolutely no sense…until they remind you of someone.
This mix is built from those moments:
🎮 video game chaos
🐒 inside jokes (yes… Uncle Monkey)
📺 novelty songs that hit just right
🌀 musical nonsense that somehow holds meaning
Because that’s what we did.
We laughed at ridiculous things. We said things that would make other people pause…and then laugh harder.
This isn’t a sad show.
It’s a “we’re still hanging out” show.
In Loving Memory Of Mikey
Not a day goes by that I don't Miss you, think of you... Hear your laugh... Happy Heavenly Birthday. Love you and MIss You So Very, Very, Very, Very, Very, Very, Very Much
-Celeste
🎧 WHAT YOU’LL HEAR
From Miracle Musical to Devo,
from Art of Noise to The Muppets,
from Negativland to Weird Al…
this is a collage of:
humor
absurdity
nostalgia
and those little moments that don’t leave
Even when everything else changes.

Out Now!
Mickey's Corner
I had a line in this week’s show:
“Some people don’t really leave… they just change rooms.”
And that’s what this feels like.
Not a goodbye. Not even a tribute.
Just… opening a door and realizing:
they’re still there.
Different room. Same energy.
And if you stayed with us…
there’s another room.
Later this week, Velvet Umbrella Radio: After Hours continues the thread with:
✨ Same Room, Different Light
Where the laughter softens…and the space between things gets a little quieter. Might I add: Celeste wrote this song for her late brother Mikey, who passed away. We wrote the music, as part of a demo in 2021, and we recorded it together as Gala Violet. "In Pieces"
Still running the Celeste victory lap:
1. She just walked through a brutal few weeks and still lit the place up.
2. That new secret door? Completely unreasonable.
3. Mr Announcer Man is still on the ‘pending’ list.
4. You’re not gonna want to miss the blog when it lands.”
