Feral After Midnight | No Filters, No Clock, No Way Back
There’s a point in the night where things stop pretending.
Almost Feral After Midnight was the threshold.
This is what happens after you cross it.
This isn’t radio in the traditional sense.
This isn’t curated for daylight.
This isn’t built to behave.
Feral After Midnight is the full transmission—released without edits, without trimming the edges, without asking whether it fits inside the rules.
Because some things don’t.
What started as a moment on air—
a comment, a reaction, an egg pan, a warning not to go feral—
didn’t stop.
It expanded.
From TR/ST and Boy Harsher
to Bauhaus and Massive Attack—
this set moves through tension, release, humor, shadow, and something just slightly unhinged.
There are moments that shouldn’t work.
They do.
There are tracks that shouldn’t sit next to each other.
They belong.
There are things said here that wouldn’t make it to air.
That’s the point.
Mickey leads.
Celeste runs the board.
The rules are… optional.
If you made it this far, you already know:
this isn’t where it ends.
✨ Dive into the full playlist below — with videos linked for every track, so you can watch, listen, and wander through the eclectic flow.
Some Back Story ....
If you’re just arriving here, you might want to understand how this started.
If you’ve been following along…
you already know we were warned.
Don’t go feral, baby.
Almost Feral After Midnight is part of the Velvet Umbrella Radio After Hours series, produced by DJ Celeste and Mickey Fingers.
Don't Go Feral, Baby ... The Backstory
Last week on Eclectic Wonderland, Mister Announcer Man publicly roasted my use of Björk as a talk bed. He was not wrong. So naturally, this week’s Eclectic Wonderland is the chaotic consequence: an indie shadow‑twin built from the same fire bones, now with 100% less Frosti and 200% more trouble… or is it? Because of course we ended up closing with Frosti anyway, and I made him report his feelings for the record.

The Egg Pan Incident (And the Song That Saved the Day)
Sometimes songs come from heartbreak.
Sometimes they come from inspiration.
And sometimes…
they come from a kitchen incident involving eggs.
During what can only be described as a mildly dramatic culinary moment, Mickey Fingers found himself talking Celeste through a situation that had escalated far beyond what anyone expected from breakfast.
As he listened and tried to calm her down, the advice became rhythm, the rhythm became lyrics, and before long “Don’t Go Feral, Baby” existed.
The song quickly evolved into more than just a track.
[Mickey Fingers - "Don't Go Feral, Baby"]
It became:
• a calming reminder
• a ringtone
• and eventually an alarm designed to prevent future feral incidents.
Because sometimes the best songs don’t come from the studio.
They come from real life… and a slightly overheated egg pan.
Plus!
More fun on the way.. two more shows!
