The Great Eclectic Wonderland Potluck Disaster
Nobody remembers exactly who invited everybody.
Some say it started with a pineapple.
Others insist the Trouble began when someone brought mystery pies.
The official report simply states:
“Events escalated.”
This week’s Eclectic Wonderland found us wandering into Harry’s House of Hootenannies, a place where flamingos handle emergency services, raccoons judge pie contests, robots serve pink lemonade, and Traffic Clam continues his campaign for reelection despite mounting questions regarding transportation policy.
As always, Mickey Fingers was on hand to document the proceedings.
The results were… mixed.
Arrival At Harry’s House
Guests began arriving shortly after sunset.
Pink lemonade flowed.
Music drifted through the bamboo walls.
The robot hospitality staff appeared fully operational.
For approximately fourteen minutes everything seemed perfectly normal.
That was our first clue that something was wrong.
The Potluck Disaster
Witnesses report that pies began appearing faster than they could be cataloged.
Nobody could identify who baked them.
Nobody could identify where they came from.
Nobody could identify why one of them appeared to contain an entire weather system.
The raccoon judges remained undeterred.

The judges later admitted they had stopped using any recognizable scoring system.
Traffic Clam’s Campaign Rally
Traffic Clam addressed supporters shortly before midnight.
His platform remains simple:
• More roundabouts
• More snacks
• Better parking
• Less panic
Poll numbers remain strong among shellfish and late-night radio listeners.
Flamingo Emergency Response Team
At approximately 11:47 PM the Flamingo Response Team was placed on standby.
No emergency was reported.
They simply enjoy being prepared.
Their official motto:
“We’re here if you need us.”
The Recovery Meeting
Attendance Optional.
Good Vibes Mandatory.
Under the stars, listeners gathered for the Official Recovery Meeting where stories were exchanged, pink beverages were consumed, and everyone collectively agreed that surviving weird days deserves recognition.
Hope Juice was served.

Eventually the evening drifted toward stranger territory.
The waiting room filled with robots, flamingos, raccoons, travelers, dreamers, and people who weren’t entirely certain how they had arrived.
Nobody seemed in a hurry to leave.

Nobody knows.

🥧 The Hootenanny Pie Contest ending in seventeen perfect scores and one overturned lemonade cart.
🗳️ Traffic Clam announcing a reelection campaign despite nobody remembering voting in the first election.
🤖 A robot distributing pink lemonade and mystery pies without proper certification.
Existential Crisis Mints appearing in the vending machine.
No one knows who stocked them.
No one knows where they came from.
Everyone agrees they are surprisingly effective.

A Quick Note From Mickey
We are a group of spoonies who create weird art, stranger stories, music, and radio together. Between connective tissue disorders, autoimmune adventures, and the occasional plot twist from the universe, life can get a little unpredictable around here.
This past week, Celeste gave us quite a scare.
After experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath, and pain that continued to spread, we all encouraged her to head to the ER to rule out some of the more serious complications that can sometimes accompany Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and autoimmune conditions, including blood clots and aortic dissection, as well as more common concerns like heart attack or pneumonia.
Thankfully, those possibilities were ruled out.
She has since followed up with a new doctor, who is also taking a closer look at a long-standing back injury. While the exact cause is still being sorted out, one possibility being considered is pleurisy, an inflammation of the lining around the lungs. The good news is that the chest pain has resolved, she’s breathing comfortably again, and she’s on the mend.
Physical therapy is next on the agenda because, as many zebras know, there’s always something that needs a little maintenance.
As a result, we’re taking a short break from Petals & Hooks this week while she recovers.
We are incredibly grateful she’s doing better and deeply appreciate everyone who reached out with kindness, support, and encouragement. We also hope that sharing these experiences helps others remember that when something feels wrong, it’s always worth getting checked out.
